“Cooking with Passion” fundraiser design project for My City Kitchen
This years annual fundraiser theme centers around the kids and young adults enrolled in the My City Kitchen culinary program. They’ll talk about what inspires them, what they’re passionate about and how being in the program has helped them plan for the future.
Artwork was designed and printed for multiple products; an 11×17 poster to be placed on community boards and at local sponsoring businesses, a 4×6 postcard to serve as the invitation – mailed to some and as handouts, and a 4×9 rack card that serves as the itinerary program. The rack card also has a perforation to create a tear-off – the purpose of which is to be used in a photo-op involving the students, with their passion written on it.
About the design: Collaborating with the MCK staff, we developed artwork to represent a spiral-bound, blue-lined notepad similar to what the students use. A hand-written font style was used to further lend authenticity that it’s a students notepad. Imagery focusing on the students in action was used throughout.
